I was drawn to yoga as a way to bring balance to an often chaotic and high stress career. As a director of merchandising during the week, I turned to yoga to give myself a mind and body connection to draw upon when the days get busy. Yoga has taken on extra emphasis in my life since April of 2018 when my 9-year-old daughter began her fight with pediatric brain cancer. My practice brings strength, peace, and calmness to my life. I want to help bring that balance to others through the gift of yoga.
I incorporate aspects from multiple forms of Hatha yoga, including Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, Qi Gong, and Vinyasa, to create a unique class experience to increase balance, strength, and flexibility. My goal is to leave students feeling strong and balanced, in both mind and body, to face the challenges of each day. Each encounter always has spirit, grace, and a touch of silly sass.
I have been personally practicing since 1995. I am a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, registered with the Yoga Alliance, and also Reiki Certified.
